Our office is located in the Santa Fe building on the second floor.   Please enter on the east side of the building.  Handicap entrance is to the south side of the building.  (Entrance is marked)  Take the elevator to the second floor.
      
Attention Personal Property Owners

Now you can file your Sumner County Personal Property on-line!

  • To use the system you must first enroll. Once your enrollment information is submitted, you will receive an email giving you your password** 

To Enroll Click on Online Filing and either call the Office at the number provided or send an email as instructed. 

Reminder: 

Personal Property Renditions are due by March 15th. Any Rendition turned in after March 15th will result in a late filing fee which is 5% per month up to 25%. Non filers penalty fee is 50%

Oil & Gas Renditions are due April 1st. Same penalty schedule appiles as the Personal Property Renditions

For your convenience the county has erected drop boxes for after hour filing. They are located at the Courthouse and the Santa Fe Building. Courthouse dropbox is located at the south entrance by the U.S. Mailbox. Santa Fe drop box located at the main entrance (east side) in front of the entrance door

2024 Market Study
The Sumner County Appraiser's office is mandated by K.S.A. 79-1476 to physically inspect all real property in Sumner County every six years.  The purpose of this inspection is to verify that our data is current and represents the property accurately.  The Appraiser's Office physically inspects approximately 17% of the real property located in the county each year.

2023 Annual Re-inspection Area

Starting spring of 2023 the Appraiser Field Staff will be conducting re-inspections of properties in the following areas. 

The eastern part of the county. Including Mulvane, Oxford, and Geuda Springs

The Sumner County Appraisers Office does a yearly physical check of around 17% off all properties throughout the county for the annual maintenance cycle. Through this process we look at the general characteristics of each property as well as condition, deterioration, additions, and new or removed buildings etc.  Thank you for understanding.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact the office at (620) 326-8986.
